چکیده
This study presents an experimental on bed-load transport in the presence of emergent vegetation, which is simulated using uniformly sized circular cylinders arranged a homogeneous distribution. The spatial variability fluxes vegetated flows first examined. Then model proposed for evaluating rate based scour holes that form around vegetation stems. influences and intensified turbulence sediment are finally considered by relating dimensionless flow intensity to stem size density. derived formula predicting applicable weak moderate conditions.

Analysis of bedload transport in laminar flows
Bedload transport generally depends on the bed shear stress and Reynolds number. Many studies conducted for the condition of turbulent flows have revealed the dependence of the transport rate on the bed shear stress, while knowledge of the Reynolds number effect on the transport rate is very limited. As an extreme case to reflect the viscous effect on sediment transport, sediment transport in l...
متن کاملExponential Formula for Bedload Transport
An exponential formula that does not involve the concept of the critical shear stress is derived in this study for computing bedload transport rates. The formula represents well various experimental data sets ranging from the weak transport to high shear conditions. Comparisons of the present study are also made with many previous bedload formulas commonly cited in the literature.
متن کاملQuantum Simulator for Transport Phenomena in Fluid Flows
Transport phenomena still stand as one of the most challenging problems in computational physics. By exploiting the analogies between Dirac and lattice Boltzmann equations, we develop a quantum simulator based on pseudospin-boson quantum systems, which is suitable for encoding fluid dynamics transport phenomena within a lattice kinetic formalism. It is shown that both the streaming and collisio...
متن کاملChaotic Analysis and Prediction of River Flows
Analyses and investigations on river flow behavior are major issues in design, operation and studies related to water engineering. Thus, recently the application of chaos theory and new techniques, such as chaos theory, has been considered in hydrology and water resources due to relevant innovations and ability. This paper compares the performance of chaos theory with Anfis model and discusses ...
